Meet the Bakers!
Carseycakes is owned by a mom and her two daughters. Mom is the "Bosslady", I would be called "number 1" because I am the first born. And "number 2" would be my sister, for obvious reasons.
Bosslady was born in Mount Pleasant, Utah back in the 50's sometime.(we forget how old she is) She has been the owner of 3 businesses through out her life with 2 running currently. She was the owner of a very successful wedding consulting firm that specialized in balloon sculpture. The wedding consultation was given up to pursue new opportunities and raise her 2 girls. Every once in a while Bosslady will do a wedding from decorations to catering for very close friends.
Bosslady is an extremely talented artist, she has a natural ability to draw anything. She has spent her life honing her craft in different and new mediums. She has often been invited to teach private sessions in papercrafting, design and drawing. She is also a veteran teacher for Roberts Crafts. Pastry has always been a passion for her. With Bosslady's many talents and extensive education from mechanical drafting to the art of pastry, cake has been it. Its always been "it". Baking and decorating has been bred into this woman! It all started with watching her mother practice thread work and hanging over the kitchen sink faucet to dry to catering weddings with her. Buttercream isnt just an accessory, its a way of life!
Number 1, thats me! I would be the narrator of this blog. I was born in Sandy, Utah quite a few years ago. I wont tell you exactly when but I will tell you that I will forever remain 27! I currently work in the medical field and bring specialty or medical diet experience into the picture. From vegan to gluten free cupcakes thats me! If you have an allergy, no problem. We can find something delicious to suit your special needs.
I've been emersed in baking my whole life. I grew up in the wedding biz and always had a passion for the catering and wedding cake end of it. My grandmother was a caterer and my mom was a consultant. I would be considered a third generation baker. Working under 2 spitfire pastry chefs drives it into you! Its my love and a true passion!
Number 2 is Bossladys youngest daughter. She is a master of the culinary arts and has an extensive education. If anything needs fondant you can count on Number 2 being able to cover it! She is also a maticulous piper. If passion and drive for cake burn in anyone its Number 2. She has studied with the masters and proves that she not only has heart but true talent for decorating and design.
